Beraneka ragam aktivitas komunitas yang menarik dan bermanfaat bagi publik. Namun sayang, karena minimnya publikasi, sehingga terbatas orang yang mengetahuinya.
Bagaimana cara aktivitas komunitas jadi berita di media massa? Perlukah punya hubungan yang baik dengan wartawan? Apa saja yang mesti disiapkan atau diperlukan oleh komunitas untuk berhubungan dengan media massa?
Ikuti diskusi pada temu komunitas dan media massa yang dipersiapkan oleh LSPP & Wikimu di acara KumKum.
Selain mengupas bagaimana kegiatan menjadi berita, di acara ini akan berbagai tips dan informasi dari para wartawan , bagaimana siklus dan ritme kerja mereka. Sehingga para pegiat komunitas pun bisa memahami dan bekerja sama para pekerja media.
Narasumber: Harry Suryadi (SIEJ), Ignatius Haryanto (LSPP), Ardianto (TV7), Rita Sulistyawati (Kompas), & Najib (wartawan radio).
Pokok bahasan ada 2 bagian :
1. Komunitas dan Media Massa
a. Bagaimana membuat isu/acara yang menarik menjadi berita dan memilih media yang tepat
b. Bagaimana menyiapkan bahan-bahan untuk media massa maupun konferensi pers
2. Berbagi cerita dari wartawan media massa dalam meliput kegiatan komunitas
Diskusi ini juga terbuka bagi perwakilan media massa yang ingin hadir untuk turut berbagi bagaimana medianya dapat memperkuat komunitas.

Tentang LSPP
Lembaga Studi Pers dan Pembangunan (LSPP) adalah sebuah lembaga nirlaba yang didirikan di Jakarta pada tahun 1994. Awal lembaga ini adalah sebuah kelompok diskusi yang memusatkan perhatiannya pada persoalan media dan kebudayaan. Namun dalam perkembangannya LSPP berkembang menjadi salah satu organisasi lembaga swadaya masyarakat yang terbagi atas beberapa divisi kerja.
Komunitas wikimu.com adalah portal informasi komunitas yang independen dengan konsep partisipatif. Situs Wikimu.com menjadi sarana berbagi informasi, membentuk komunitas dan menjalin silaturahmi. Konsep partisipatif disini berarti Wikimu.com mendorong komunitas untuk aktif mengirimkan informasi.

Bukan…KumKum di sini bukanlah nama tokoh kartun Jepang yang jika tersenyum lebar, mulutnya bergeser ke pipinya.
KumKum di sini merupakan sebuah ajang kumpul-kumpul bareng berbagai komunitas. Tapi tidak hanya ditujukan bagi anggota komunitas-komunitas yang ikut BERKOLABORASI sebagai penyelenggara maupun pengisi acara.
KumKum juga ditujukan bagi warga Kota Jakarta dan sekitarnya yang berminat untuk ikut terlibat dalam berbagai kegiatan komunitas serta tertarik untuk menciptakan perubahan di kota yang ditinggali.
Beragam acara menarik telah dipersiapkan dan akan berlangsung dua hari penuh pada Sabtu & Minggu, 17 & 18 April 2010 di Museum Bank Mandiri, Kota Tua, Jakarta.
Acaranya tidak hanya untuk orang dewasa, tapi juga untuk anak-anak, remaja, dan ibu rumah tangga. Beberapa acara yang bertempat di dalam ruangan, akan membutuhkan RSVP.
KumKum merupakan ajang untuk bisa saling BERBAGI ide, pemikiran & inisitif untuk kemudian masing-masing dapat BERBUAT hal nyata guna menciptakan sebuah perubahan.
Lewat KumKum pengunjung akan merasakan langsung sebuah ‘pesta’ yang sejak awal penyelenggaraannya diupayakan agar ramah lingkungan. Diupayakan agar menghasilkan emisi yang rendah dengan jumlah sampah minimal. Dan lewat KumKum diharapkan ke depannya tradisi penyelenggaraan acara publik, tidak hanya acara lingkungan, yang lebih ramah lingkungan bisa tercipta.
Harapannya, KumKum dapat berperan sebagai ruang bagi beragam komunitas dan warga kota untuk saling kenal dan saling berbagi. Semoga KumKum dapat menjadi sebuah awalan menuju terciptanya kolaborasi dalam menciptakan perubahan.
